*John arrives with Nigel and Lindsay. He also has Peter's breakfast, potion and newspapers on the usual tray.*

Hello, Peter.

*He lets the lot of them into Peter's cell and sets the breakfast down.*

I'll wait outside whilst you see to the paperwork.

*He takes one of the newspapers and sits at the desk outside the cell, flicking through the pages, trying to focus.*

*John tries to focus on the paper, identifying which topics would most likely come up in the Chamber later, and which would have requests for UQs put in about them. However, the scratching of the pens is so loud, he barely makes it through half a page by the time they're finished.*

*Peter thanks both of the witnesses, shakes their hands and then waits for them to leave before tucking into his breakfast. He's not particularly hungry, but the potion leaves a foul taste in his mouth and he needs something to wipe it away.*

*John bid goodbye to Nigel and Lindsay, reminding them of the meeting in a short while. Once they have gone he flicks through to the crossword page.*

*"Needless", "Fate", and "Reduce to ashes" all spring out and him, and he decides that, perhaps, asking Peter what the technical term for a "Bell-ringer" is would be a better bet.*

*Peter checks that John isn't looking through the door, then surreptitiously turns on the TV. The Machine helpfully flashes up the answer before letting the screen go blank once more.*

*They continue with the crossword until it is filled in. John is tempted to turn to the next paper and start on that one, but he has things to do and he isn't sure Peter really wants him hanging around much longer.*
