Progress on The Machine: NOT the gadget, Paddy, thanks so much. Ordered new valves from Swagelok.  Hopefully solid silver fittings will reduce thaumic leaks.

Yes, your last one was a bit much. I was exhausted just trying to follow it; I can't imagine how much work it must have been trying to control the outcome.
