Terrible, thank you.

This had better be gone by Wednesday.

You're far more stoic about it than you used to be, the experience is clearly beneficial.

I've simply come to realise that complaining about it does not grant me any mercy from you.

If only it were possible to extend that attitude to your many other trials and tribulations.

...Don't you have a secret document to try and keep out of the public eye?

...I'm not sure if it will not be more amusing to watch Cable go back on his previous statements and be forced to justify the secrecy of these documents.

Have you give any thought to what could broadly be described as 'the right thing to do'?

*rests chin on hand*

That's a somewhat leading question, John. I would say the broader issue is, as someone who is no longer in government, whether it would be appropriate for me to interfere with what is clearly a government issue. Now, if Cable decides that he wishes to stick to his pre-coalition pledges and reveal the documents then he is perfectly entitled to try and do so; he may run up against some resistance from his coalition partners, but I am afraid that is one of the perils of shared governance.

...a simple yes or no would have sufficed.

John, I would never have expected such a reductionist worldview coming from you.

It's not a product of a reductionist world view to want a clear answer, Peter.

I am simply rather surprised by the notion that you would place brevity over veracity.

I note you still haven't answered my original question.

Thrilling as this conversation has been, I must be off. You might want to stand by with a replacement toy as Jemima's ball will vanish when I leave.
