Bilderberg

Bilderberg is usually interesting, and 2011 certainly did not disappoint. Apart from the occasional slip-up, it all ran wonderfully smoothly. A few familiar faces, some more receptive to our policies than others. A pity, then, that Miliband junior and Bercow minor seem unable to behave in a reasonable manner during my absence...

I've no idea to what you are referring - Freddie behaved rather well while you were away, for some reason.

I am sure that, barring attempts to leap out of windows, Freddies behaviour was exemplary as he was not the Bercow to which I was referring.

Jemima's been an angel, as has Oliver, and except for the one slip up Sally has kept well away from well meaning but ill thought out comments online.

Indeed, all Bercow juniors have behaved excellently and Bercow major has been a paragon of tact. Hence why it's such a dreadful shame to see Bercow minor colluding with an underaged automaton to break the laws of transdimensional transferral by allowing a dinosaur from a different dimension to reside in the Chancellor's bathroom.

[identity profile] bamfbercow.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
It was either that or allow Oliver to take it into show and tell and on balance, looking at all the facts at the time, it seemed that allowing the reptile to reside in Mr Osborne's toothbrush was a more preferable outcome than allowing a class of seven year olds to be in possession of a miniature dinosaur.

[identity profile] therealpm.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
...and your powers and grasp of tranlocation are obviously far too weak for you to attempt to transfer the dinosaur back yourself?

[identity profile] bamfbercow.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you know, I hadn't even considered that. That really would have made things a great deal easier.

[identity profile] therealpm.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed. Too late now. Osborne's 'bonded' with the damned thing.

H-Has he, really? I suppose worse things could have happened.

'Norman' may yet require a companion of the same species and I am sure that Oliver would jump at the chance to care for it.

'Norman Percival Osborne the first', or so I am told.

...I didn't name him, John. Don't give me that look.

I'm not giving you any look at all, Peter, none at all!

[identity profile] therealpm.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Speaking of looks...

...yours in 1981. Was the hair intended as a homage to the 70s Beatles or did you merely forget to visit the barber?

How on earth do y-

Oh, The Politics Show, Sally did say there was a short piece on there this afternoon. I'm so glad you see fit to attempt to mock my appearance in my earlier years because, of course, you yourself have never made similar faux pas, have you?

[identity profile] therealpm.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I managed to avoid making any major errors in personal grooming, yes.

[identity profile] therealpm.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
....yes.

What does everybody have against my poor moustache? It is most unfairly maligned.
