therealpm: (Bercow incoming)
Received confirmation that I have been removed from the no-fly list. Welcome news, albeit delivered within one of the most patronising letters I have ever had the misfortune to receive.

Corfu beckons.

Not a bad month.

Now if only D'Souza would stop nagging me to turn up, everything would be perfect.
therealpm: (I don't think so)
The necessity to avoid attending public appearances in person is beginning to grate, though it does provide ample validation of The Machine's projectile capabilities.

The other project progresses apace, or at the very least, generates copious piles of notes. Certain matters of sport have provided an amusing distraction.
therealpm: (Plotting)
Other than the minor amusement of dispatching the unfounded criticisms of a few unwise Tories, today has been rather tedious. Distracted myself by watching the cricket. It's surprisingly amusing when one takes a more active role in determining the outcome of the match.

Ankle update: cast itches. Incessantly.

A wonderfully event-free week.  No scandals to suppress, no plots to unravel, just the gentle hum of The Machine in the background.

...might take a nap.

Phase two of testing going ahead, despite the obstructionism of certain worry-warts.

Progress on The Machine: Have imprisoned head-programmer's soul in small L.E.D.  Other code monkeys significantly more productive.  May introduce 'transfiguration tuesdays' to boost work ethic.

Not much on the omni-viewing portal tonight.  Mildly amusing Liberal drama, but nothing worth staying up for.

A sentiment with which I have some sympathy, even if the person involved is a tory.
therealpm: (Pleased)
Labour no longer the party with the most internal drama. Gave all Tories blistering hangovers to celebrate (that should confuse Theresa May).

Progress on The Machine: NOT the gadget, Paddy, thanks so much. Ordered new valves from Swagelok.  Hopefully solid silver fittings will reduce thaumic leaks.

therealpm: (Thoughtful)
A most amusing New Year's party last night, somewhat marred by certain disagreements and Cameron's escape refusal to visit The Machine.

Status of The Machine: saved the world from Toryism again, but had to erase everyone's memory, so no credit for it as usual. Hopefully will be able to feed in Cameron new data soon for a procssing test run. Set the throb of John's hangover to the tune of 'Build me up Buttercup'. Seems to make him somewhat nauseous. Interesting.

Progress of The Machine: Tested the possibility of 'remote access' to politicians' brains by attempting to remove Bercow's hangover. Evidence from omni-viewing portal suggests may have made it worse. Not a complete failure then.

Nothing much else on omni-view today. Rather dull.
